MASDA consists of seventeen square dance, round dance and clogging member clubs. The Association was organized in April of 1960 "for the pleasure and recreation of its members; to teach, promote and further interest in and to stimulate the growth of Western Stlye Square, Round and Folk dancing." The MASDA Center is one of the finest square dance barns in the country. The Center is a large, completely air conditioned, hardwood floored, dual halled facility that is busy nearly every night of the year, hosting either special dances or the regular club-night dances for many of the member clubs. Moreover, MASDA sponsors three annual dances - the American Cancer Society Benefit Dance, the Mini-Jamboree and Barbeque, and the Dixie Jamboree. The Center is located within a residential neighborhood near Interstate 85 at 2201 Chestnut Street. Since it is not the easiest location to find, the following map was developed by Darin Satterwhite.
