The Village Squares dance each Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM till 8:30 PM at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center. The Center features a 3,000 square foot dance surface and is air conditioned year round. The Arts Center is located just off highway US 29, the main connector road between Auburn and Opelika, Alabama. It is behind the Frank Brown Recreation Center at 235 Opelika Road, but access is easier from Drake Avenue. From Montgomery, traveling north on Interstate 85, take exit 51 onto US Highway 29 North. After about 4.2 miles, passing the Auburn University Library and famed Toomers Corner, turn right onto Glenn Ave. Turn left, at the next intersection, onto Gay Street. Turn right at the second intersection, a four-way stop, onto Drake Avenue. The Arts Center will be on your right within one block. From Atlanta, traveling south on Interstate 85, take exit 57 to Glenn Avenue - stay on the right of the exit way but turn left at the traffic light. After about 3 miles, at the third traffic light, turn right onto Ross Street (the Auburn Veterans Memorial will be at your right). Go straight through the next traffic light and then turn left at the four-way stop onto Drake. The Arts Center will be on your left after a block and 1/2. From Columbus, traveling (north)west on US Highway 280, follow the jag in 280 that overlaps with Interstate 85. Just stay on the Interstate an extra mile, taking exit 57 as above. From Birmingham, traveling (south)east on US Highway 280, take Highway 147 south towards Auburn. At the second traffic light, turn left onto Drake Avenue. The Arts Center will be on your right after a block and 1/2.
